12/7/2014 EDIT: I didn't get as much done as I wanted, some unexpected distractions arose. I will, however, update this again very soon with the bits I wanted to include today. I just didn't want to put off this update any longer. So expect that. But after those little updates, I'm taking a break from M/S2 for a few weeks, do a few panels in B/S and just relax a bit until I'm ready to come back in the new year. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy.

8/13/14 EDIT: Bad news, guys. So I spent the last 4 days vigorously trying to get this explicit bj scene to look good... it didn't work. I found out I can't fully tween an animation, it takes way too much coordination I just can't manage like that. I'm gonna go ahead and FBF the whole thing and probably 90% of the animations to come. I uploaded the scene I'm scrapping just to prove I was doing something this whole time. Again, sorry I couldn't get it done. I'll keep working on it though. Till next time.

DeleteLooks real nice honestly. Other than the mouth not moving and no tongue on what I would guess was a movement she was doing that signified licking, it didn't seem bad to me.

ReplyDeleteFrame by frame, traditional style animation where I draw 12-24 pictures per second of animation. I mention it in the scrapped scene, and the cleavage of that little animation in the first part of the scrapped scene is FBF.

ReplyDeleteReally not sure, sorry. All I can say is I'm working on it. Every time I give estimates when I'll have something, I always fail to deliver. I don't want to get anyone's hopes up and then shit on them... so just check back once and a while and I'll have something new to show you every few weeks. Not just this project, but the bro/sis comic which I'm still working on and just recently updated, and other stuff that's in the works. I go back and forth between projects, it keeps things fresh so I stay motivated.

DeleteOkay, so here's the story. I've finished the lead up to the first sexual encounter, there is literally twice as much story as what you saw in the last updated version. I've tweaked some visual stuff from previous frames, but the first sexual bit is still incomplete. I'm a lot rustier at this animation thing than I realized and so it's a long process to make it presentable. Plus I was on vacation for a week and I also worked a bit more on the Bro Sis comic which I have one more block I finished and need to update here (will do it after finished writing this).
DeleteSo here's the deal, I can upload what I have so far which is titillating in the story department, but blueball central in the sexual department. Or you can wait for... I don't know how long really... and get it all at once so it's more satisfying. Your choice.
Can you post what you have so far so we have something to satisfy our wait at least? It would be much appreciated.

But as you probably already know, it's just me doing this alone... by myself. I'm not getting paid or intend to make money from it, and I'm naturally kind of a procrastinator.

Only update I can give right now is that I have completed 2.5 new little bits of animation. I'm actually really happy with the way the art looks in it. I'm starting to really find my style again. Not gonna post anything until I get a little further along, though. A telltale sign that I've updated something is a new pic in that post, I've also added an email sign-up for updates... at least I think that's what that gadget does. I'm new to all this. Thanks for all the interest, the only thing I need you guys to do though is keep pushing me, sometimes I get lazy. I'm also not interested in making money off this, but thanks anyways.

ReplyDeleteI just noticed that the new preview pic has a different style from the old one. Specifically, there is no shadows on the new prievew pick compared to the old one.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I switch back and forth between styles and levels of detail from scene to scene. It usually depends on how close up the shot is or what the mood of the shot is. I guess that particular scene in the preview would be shadow appropriate, though. Good catch.

I realize how overused doge is, but I couldn't help myself. I got halfway through my comment and realized how much it sounded like a doge meme. Jokes aside, that's all true. I especially loved the Baby Got Back bit. There's something so adorably maternal about the mom getting the lyrics wrong. The son's reaction was perfect, too. After such a quintessential mother and son moment, it's as though he's been slapped in the face with the reality of what's happening, that this IS his mom, that they ARE having sex, and therefore, that she DOES return his feelings. He's so overwhelmed with emotion, the only thing he can think to do is kiss her. I know I'm always singing your praises, but it's so hard not to. I really do enjoy this story so much. It's like you just peered into the internet and asked, "What would Data want?" and made it so. I don't know how you managed it, but I'm actually more excited for Date Night than I already was. So hype! As they say in the Project M community.
That moment between them, you understood it almost perfectly. I wasn't sure if her joke would come off too forced or not, but the important thing is that she comes off as corny in a motherly way, and he appreciates her trying. I'm glad you enjoyed it, that's what it's all about.
DeleteI'll admit that the joke is a little out of place, but strangely that makes it work. It legitimately (and pleasantly) surprised me. It also kind of gives the sense that the mom is nervous and that, as a result, she's making jokes to lighten the mood. So in short, no, I don't think it's too forced, haha.
DeleteYeah, I wasn't really sure if it fit. I had another joke lined up, something like him complimenting her breasts as the best he's ever seen. Then she says "how many have you seen" and he nervously overcompensates with "lots". Then she says something like "I better limit your internet time". But I wasn't sure if it worked well as even a corny joke. The point is, she needed to tell a joke, like you said, to lighten the mood and to link back to her cheerfully corny attitude in the beginning where she might have seemed more motherly. Because in mom/son wincest, motherly = fucking hot.

Great stuff as usual. I really like the thought that's put into the positioning (especially the fingering). So many games/animations settle for generalized hand motions that suggest what's happening without actually illustrating it. You, on the other hand, have left nothing to the imagination here. Kudos for that.
ReplyDeleteI do have a bit of criticism for you, though. Not about the new panels, they're wonderful. There's definitely been a lot of growth since you started this project. Which brings me to my point: there are a couple of typos on pages/frames 49 and 50 (51 and 52 if you count the opening notes) that I totally forgot about and just rediscovered.
On page 49 (or 51) Kyle says:
"...but you think he could skip one or two BUISNESS dinners or golf outings."
He continues on page 50 (or 52):
"He DOSEN'T appreciate what he already has, enough."
Sorry for the caps, I just wanted to highlight the mistakes.
I also think it's worth noting that the opening scene in Kyle's room could use a touch up or two. It has a sort of "made in MS Paint" look that doesn't blend well with the more webcomic style of everything else.
Other than that, everything is great. Just thought I'd mention this stuff now, while I'm thinking about it. Anyway, enjoy your break from Date Night, can't wait to see how Camping turns out, and I'm gonna try to stop typing, now. One of these days, I'll post a comment that is not a short novel, haha.

Right after I fix the mom's face in that scroll up when you first see here in her dress... it looks terrible. His room is the only background where the lines are done with brush and it does stand out. In fact all the line work is squiggly and just shitty. I hadn't really narrowed down my style at that time, and I'm still working on that.
